After selling VAIO PC division, Sony prefer to focus on Smartphone.
Recently, people around the world have shocked with Sony’s decision. Sony has made a surprising decision by selling its Vaio PC division to Japan Industrial Partner (JIP). Its fund will be used to run the new business, smartphone.
Unfortunately its movement leads Sony to out of PC market. Its movement will harm Sony as PC Market Company shift’s focuses on Smartphone and mobile devices. Sony and JIP have not made the decision about the selling. Yet, the rumor says that Sony will get 50 billion yen for its selling. It is equal to £ 302 million.
Much technology news says that Sony is going to sell its PC division. It is not only the rumor. According to Nikkei, Wednesday news from Japan, Sony has discussed with Japan Industry Partner (JIP). Sony had a deal with JIP to sell its cool technology. JIP is an organization who handle investment fund in Japan. In addition, Sony wants to unload its sluggish computer operations, said Sony to Nikkei keenly.
It is almost certain that JIP will take over Sony’s entire PC division if the selling is going to run well. Instead, there is a rumor that JIP will use Vaio name as the bran as well. Yet, the rumor is unclear so far. As another rumor says that JIP will launch with a new brand.
Many people expect that JIP will not change the brand of Vaio. They argue it will be better if JIP use Vaio brand. Another rumor said that JIP will pay Sony around 40 to 50 billion yen to get that advance technology. That wonderful rate is equal to £241.5 billion to £302 billion.
Lenovo’s Future
The other surprising rumor said that Lenovo was dismissed by its company. The company was talking to Lenovo to discuss it before.
CNET stated on February 1, 2014 that Sony has discussed with Lenovo group to establish a new business. They are going to run PC business. Sony planted to invite Lenovo to join its company.
On the other report said that Sony has announced to continue its PC business in a different way. Yet, the rumor which said that Sony will cooperate with Lenovo is still being a big question. Just wait and see, what will be happen later. Will Lenovo be the part of Sony? We will see.
